Jan Trenholm Memorial Scholarship

The Scholarship: The Friends of the Library honor one or more graduating high school seniors’ commitment as a volunteer to the West Windsor Library and/or the Friends of the West Windsor Library with a Jan Trenholm Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship program is supported by donations received in the memory of Jan Trenholm, a Friend and former co-chair of many Friend's annual Book Sales, and from Friends funds. We also thank Jan Trenholm's husband, William Warren and his family for their thoughtful financial support.

A Jan Trenholm Scholarship recipient must be a graduating high school senior who is continuing in their education, holds a Mercer County Library System library card and has volunteered at least 20 hours during 2023 and 2024. Applicants must complete the scholarship application form below, which includes an essay, and have one or more letters of recommendation submitted on their behalf by a staff member or Friends' board member.

The deadline for the 2024 Scholarship application and supporting letters is May 3, 2024.

A Letter(s) of Reference is required from the Branch Manager, a Library staff member, or a Friends board member attesting to the number of hours worked or volunteered and providing a scholarship recommendation. These may be delivered to the library or scanned and emailed to friendsofthewestwindsorlibrary@gmail.com.
